Angels Text: F. Ntavou, M. Witowski The need of mentoring system was visible for quite a lot of time, in order to offer help and support to all EESTEC members. From previous years, there were many discussions on how this system could work and previous boards implemented it in a way. This year, both EA and IA department are working on Mentoring System with the help of 2 Teams called “Angels”. EA Angels provide guidance to Observers in order to familiarize with EESTEC and its functions. They also help them in order to organize their activities. EA Team has a coordinator and 14 Angels and each one is responsible for one Observer. Photographs: Web IA Angels provide their support to all JLCs and LCs. Angels are responsible to keep contact with their (J)LCs, offer their help when needed, schedule meetings, support them when organizing an event and also follow their activity by collecting the Local Activities Report every 3 months. The Team consists of a coordinator and 17 Angels and each one is responsible for up to 4 (J)LCs. The Goal of Angels Teams is to create a Contact Person of each (J)LC /Observer with the International Board. Whenever there is a question, or whenever a problem occurs, the Angel will be there to give his support and solve the problem with the help of VC-IA and VC-EA. The Angel should maintain a close relationship with his/her (J)LC/ Observer, by talking frequently with them and schedule online meetings when needed. Mentoring System is a huge project, which is still on its start and if implemented right, it can bring huge bene?ts to EESTEC and its members. If you want to be part of it, send an email to [email protected] or vc-ea@eestec. net. We kindly ask all (J)LCs/Observers to trust and consult their Angel. Both stronger and weaker (J)LCs/Observers can bene?t greatly from this Team. Therefore you should never lose contact with your Angel. He/She will always be there to help you! We support you because we believe in you! 20
