इस शहर में शोर है हंगामा क्यों है
हर बात पे एक नया अफ़साना क्यों है
न इश्क़ है, न शौक़ है, न खुदा और न हीं मज़हब कोई
तेरे पास मेरी कािफरी का तराना क्यों है
मै सहम जाता हु अक्सर तेरे बदलते िमजाज़ से
तू भला मेरे हाल से अनजाना क्यों है
आ िमलके खोजें इस शहर से दू र कहीं बहुत देर तक
आँ खों से ओिझल ख्वाब का नज़राना क्यों है
मैं मानता हूँ के वो बुनेगा तस्सवूर तक का कोई रास्ता
नादाँ हूँ, पर ताबीर को िमटाना क्यों है
