5. Team Shared Services, our newly appointed prefects, have proven that a bit of attitude goes a
long way when it comes to getting things done on the field of play. Well done to David Adams,
Vusa Nyathi and Andrew Cook for introducing some sound ground rules, directions and strategies
to guide all the various teams. There has been a marked improvement in performance since the
‘enforcers’ have gotten involved! Good luck with the Consulting schoolyard bullies!
As in every school environment one needs change to challenge the status quo, foster growth and
improvement.
This year the burden of carrying this baton has fallen on some of Edge’s bravest!
First up is George Battye, receiving the honours of Group Innovation. We wish him all the best and
look forward to seeing many ‘black swans’ fly out of the Innovation Lab.
Next up is Paulo Fernandes, Sean Collins and Pravina Young in the newly formed sales team! High
hopes and expectations rest on their shoulders! “Go team go;” build and close that pipeline!
Our cheerleaders have grown from strength to strength this year. Llewelyn Botha, Molemo Mathabathe
and Anelisa Ngewu under Frances Jordaan have become an integral part our communication
strategy and they are just getting started!
Last, but not least, and quickly becoming the source of our competitive advantage, is the BID office
under Martin Ackermann. This secret weapon will serve us well in years to come. The work for 2014
is already pilling up!
