KIDS PAGE I went to the zoo, it was fantastic. The rhino’s poop was gigantic. I couldn’t believe how big the rhino’s poop was. By Sol P, age 7, room 7. Yesterday night I was helping my dad to clean the house and the hose came off. And I got soaking wet in my pyjamas and I felt cold. By Nicky T, age 6, room 7. I saw the rhino at Hamilton Zoo. They were big logs in their area. The big rhino was 1002 kgs and it charged at a bird. By Connor L, age 6, room 7. On Friday I am going to play miniball at the events centre. It is going to be fun. COMMUNITY NOTICES ROCK STAR SKATE NIGHT Skating will go back to Friday nights from 6th September and to celebrate they are holding a ROCK theme dress up. $5 entry. Waihi Events Centre 6pm -8.30pm. Food and drink for sale. MEADOW FRESH Help our school get a share of $500,000 worth of Art Gear. Start collecting stickers from Meadow Fresh products in the shops at the moment. Sticker collection sheets at the office. YEAR 3 & 4 BASKETBALL Circle of Growth. Vision; to create a circle of people who receive and give back to their community. Term 4 On Mondays. 21st October-25th November 2013. Waihi College Gym. 3.30-4.45pm. $15 per student. All players receive a Waihi Basketball t-shirt. The programme runs for 6 weeks. It will consist for 5 one hour coaching sessions by Waihi College Senior players. Registration forms available at the school office. ATHLETICS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT The Waihi Primary Sports Association and the Waihi Amateur Athletics Club have asked for Alan McDonald from Sport Waikato to return and refresh, up-skill and get ready for the up coming athletics season. Thursday 19th September from 3.30pm5pm. More to follow closer to the time. LOST Rome M has lost his blue Nike scuffs at school. They are named ‘Jordan Mills’. Please hand in to the office if these are found.
