ENFIELD---The junior prom is coming up soon , March 28 is the dance tickets are on sale for $ 72 a piece . This year ’ s prom will be from 6-10 pm at the Log Cabin in Holyoke , MA .
Permission slips must be filled out with a parent signature , and you must get grade office approval if you are bringing a guest from outside of the school system . Payments are due by Friday March 15 th to your Dean ’ s Office . There are QR Codes posted around the building where students can scan the QR Code and instantly receive 20 % off a tuxedo rental at College Formals . “ I think the prom is a fun way for students to unwind , have fun and dress up like adults for the night ,” said English Teacher Mr . Mazzone “ I love the prom ,” said Junior Maddie Archer . “ Prom will be a good way to relieve the stress of SAT testing .
Currently the student council is looking for teacher chaperones to accompany the students to the dance . The chaperones get a meal and get to dress up . They also must monitor student behaviors and make sure that all school rules are followed while the students are at the dance .
The $ 72 pays for your ticket to the prom , helps pay for the DJ , the venue , and your meal . The meal is a three-course meal and there are also refreshments at the social hour before the prom officially starts .
If it ’ s your first time going to prom , this is what you what you should expect it should be a lot like homecoming where there will be a lot of dancing maybe some refreshments and of course , hanging out with friends and socializing and kind of letting loose for the night , the rules , and include some of the same rules that you might experience at school such as , no loitering in one spot for too long no cussing , no inappropriate apparel no smoking or drinking and having a good time .
