Powerhouse Bulldogs , etc . While that was going on , the team started weight training and condition two days per week in July with Coaches Gaucher and Mazzone .
The training continued in the fall with Coaches Swilling and Deleon joining and the Eagles were on the grind . The weight room has been a key factor towards the team building both strength and team bonds .
Our captains , Ryan Dennis , Jack Raymond , and Brady Higginbotham are excited for the season to come and are hoping to exceed last year ’ s tournament run .
In addition to the captains , the team returns starters Jake Lubanski , Tyler Nickerson , Even Dummeny , Jack Harmon , and key role player Andrew Cekala from last season .
This spring the team participated in a Hit Trak league in East Hartford at the Connecticut Capitals complex . Hit Trak is a batting simulator where the players can hit at major league stadiums and it judges where the balls land , what the exit velocity is , what the launch angle was and there is a completive feel for it . This has helped build excitement for the teams March 16 th start .
The team will have a trip to South New Jersey , with the softball team from March 22-24 as they take on some of the top teams in New Jersey in Audubon , Haddon Heights , and Paul the VI .
The Eagles have workouts Tuesday and Thursday to increase team chemistry and athletic ability to be prepared forthe upcoming season .
“ Our school workouts are a big part of creating our team chemistry and a way for me to remain in for the upcoming season ,” said freshman Will Norris .
