Information Communication Technology. They use to finish their course - 12th Grade- at the
end of March. These courses last three years. Afterwards they do their Internship.
Local enterprises and EBSO have been partners and vocational students have done internships
in there. Local employers have been satisfied with our students´ knowledge and performance
and they have been offered the job as soon as they finished their Internship. In this type of
courses the students spend most of their time in practical, technological, technical and artistic
training. The vocational courses are drawn to give answers to both local and regional labour
market needs.
Travelling abroad is the best way for our students to see the world and broaden their outlook
on life. In this way, they have already gone to different European countries. Just as an
example, students who attended the Business Vocational Course went to Brussels to visit the
European Council, traditional Markets and to see the way Christmas shop windows are done.
This was also a great way to motivate our students to the commercial area, since the most
income sources in our town is tourism and commerce. ICT students went on an excursion to
the greatest technologies Market, CEBIT in Hannover - Germany some years ago. This was an
opportunity to promote our school and our vocational courses abroad too.
Students who attended the Vocational Health Course has just returned from Krakow, where
they learnt about a new European lifestyle. Immersing oneself in another country can be
extremely enriching as we find out more about another culture.
Students who are studying Economics has just visited the European Parliament in Brussels in
April and they also had a lesson on the topic there. Of course, all these activities abroad are a
way of practicing the English language too.
We have commemorated important festivities, such as European Day of Languages on the
26th of September and the European Day on the 9 th March with conferences and other
activities.
Our students practise lots of different physical sports regularly, such as Table Tennis,
Voleiball, Futsal, Badminton, Basketball, Swimming and Orienting. These are extra-curricular
activities.
Megasprinter is a National Athletics Tournament ” Track and Field” where students jump and
run. Some of our sts have been successful and have represented our community in national
competitions.
