14 SEER, 11.5 EER Air Conditioning Unit in Climate Zones 2, 4, 8-15 (1 Point)

For units undergoing work, replace existing air conditioning units with 14 SEER, 11.5 EER units. The unit must be designed to Manual J to ensure that it is sized correctly. Indoor and outdoor units must be matched using AIR standards to obtain correct SEER and EER requirements. J2.8. Complete Comprehensive Air Sealing Measures or Blower Door Test (1 Point)

A trained professional must complete the blower door test and verify the results. For single family projects, the blower door test must show 50% reduction of 0.5 ACH50. For multifamily projects, sealing measures include installation of thresholds and weatherstripping at all exterior doors, and sealing penetrations in the building envelope, including between conditioned spaces and the basement, crawlspace, and attic.
