Landscape: – – Requirement: No tree trunk or limbs should be within two feet of touching the home or pose danger to the home due to excessive root intrusion or proximity of structurally sound or unsound limbs. Requirement: No vegetation is growing under siding, gutters, or trim. Vegetation on the surface does not preclude compliance.

Requirement: The attic shows no signs of current water intrusion, and openings to the exterior are properly flashed, sealed, and screened. Requirement: The attic has clear ventilation pathways. Requirement: No exhaust vents terminate in the attic. Requirement: Roof gutters are clean, properly pitched to drain, well connected, and supported at the roof eaves. (Note: gutters are not required to be installed if the existing building does not have any installed.) Requirement: The roof assembly is free of debris (such as plant debris from nearby trees).
