Enter the second function.
Press "Solve step" or "Solve all" button to see the solution process.
Make certain that you enter the function in functional notation. For example
you can enter f(x)=2x+3. Also, use different names (letter designators) for
different functions.

2.2.2.5.9.8 Compose functions
This wizard is used to calculate the composition of two functions where both are
functions of a single variable.
It can be accessed by clicking on Wizard Button | Function | Compose
functions.
To compose functions:
Enter the first function.
Press the
key or click on the next line.
Enter the second function.
Press "Solve step" or "Solve all" button to see the solution process.
Make certain that you enter the function in functional notation. For example
you can enter f(x)=2x+3. Also, use different names (letter designators) for
different functions.
Remember that the composition of functions is not commutative. That's why
the software calculates both compositions, f(g(x)) and g(f(x))
