Part 5 - How to Stage Your Video
Now that you know the basic outline you will follow while
making your video, it’s time to look at how to stage your video.
There are a few different ways you can approach this.
Headshot Videos
The most common approach to making a video is to use a
headshot. The camera is trained on your head and shoulders
as you talk to the viewer.
While you might be tempted to go with this set-up, I would
encourage you to reconsider. Pretty much everyone is using
this approach so your video isn’t going to stand out at all.
Plus, let’s just face it. There’s nothing too engaging or exciting
about staring at a stranger’s face while they talk. You tend to
get distracted by their mannerisms, accent, or even their
posture.
That’s just too much pressure. Unless you are a supermodel or
