FRONT COVERS
EXCEPTIONS
There will be situations where a specific image
must be used, or the images available for use do
not allow clear space for the headline and logo.
BIRSHOF

GOLFCLINIC
In these instances only, a cropped image, or
images, can be used at the bottom area of the
cover – ensuring that enough room is left for all
text to sit above it. Keep a white border around
these images and do not bleed them off to any
of the edges of the cover.

WHITE SPACE AROUND IMAGE
Ensure there is a generous use of white
space around the cropped image to allow
it to sit a reasonable distance from the edges.
Use equal distances for the left, right and
bottom edges – see examples (right).
AMOUNT OF IMAGES
Usually it is best to use one image but
A5 formats can use two images if required.
A4 formats can use up to three images if
required. 1/3 A4 formats must only use one
image. When more than one image is used
they must align to the text grid. Please refer
to page 12.7 for details on our text grids.
