This doesn ‘ t seem to bother the giant stingrays , whose heads , once fully grown , rise knee-high above the sandy bottom . Caution : don ‘ t underestimate them ! Stingrays remain stoic for a long time , but you must never block their escape route or swim over them . Unfortunately , it is well proven that the stinger on the tail can be deadly .
After all , it doesn ‘ t always have to be the riskiest , biggest and most spectacular underwater adventure . At some point , that becomes just as boring as eating steak or burger every day .
However , one thing is certain : Fuerteventura ‘ s northernmost diving area , with around 15 marvellous sites off Corralejo ‘ s coast , is guaranteed to be above any suspicion of monotony .
