Q: Which of these certifications had the greatest impact on your personal healing?
A: Breathwork, hands down. It gave me my life back! It taught me how to slow down and truly feel— the tension in my body, the frustration I had buried, the peace I had been chasing. I stopped running and started breathing. Inhale … exhale. Each breath became a quiet prayer, a sacred conversation between me and God. The rise and fall of my chest reminded me I was still here. Still held. Still healing. It sounds simple— but it’ s more powerful than many will ever know.
Q: How has breathwork or stretch / flexibility work shifted your approach to traditional fitness?
A: Before it was all about pushing— how far, how fast, how much. I would go to the gym 6 days a week, sometimes twice per day. I was chasing results, not listening to my body. Breathwork slowed me down. It taught me to tune in instead of power through. I started moving from a place of presence, not pressure. Stretch / flexibility work helped me reconnect with the parts of my body I had ignored— the tightness, the tension, the trauma stored in my hips, my back, my shoulders. Now, fitness isn’ t just about strength— it’ s about softness, too. It’ s about honoring what my body needs today, not punishing it for what it isn’ t.
Q: You’ ve relocated to Mexico— how has that move supported your health journey in ways you couldn’ t have imagined back in the U. S.?
A: Mexico gave me space. Space to breathe and to become. To rest, to recalibrate, to slow down without guilt. Life moves at a different rhythm here— the sun is healing, the waves are calming, and I’ ve found a community of people who, like me, want to heal, to grow, to truly live.

Q: What cultural or lifestyle shifts have you embraced since moving, that have enhanced your healing?

A: An active, fit lifestyle. Community. Nourishing food that’ s alive and grown right here. I walk more. I laugh more. I soak up the sun daily. There’ s a rhythm to life here that doesn’ t rush— and coming from New York, that slow, steady pace was exactly what my nervous system needed to heal.
