2 . What inspired you accept this elected position ? A : Running for office was not an easy decision for me . It was nothing I had ever aspired to do . However , during COVID , as we all sat back in silence for a while , I took the time to really look at the needs of my community . As someone who has always rolled up my sleeves and gotten to work on many local issues , with the persuasion of great leadership and my family , I felt called to give it a shot on a state level . I have never looked back .

8 . If you could have dinner with anyone , living or deceased , who would it be and why ? A : My brother , John . He passed away almost 30 years ago , and I have so many unanswered questions .
