SPIRITUALITY AND FAITH

GOD HAS GREATER PURPOSES FOR YOUR LIFE IN 2019!!

Article by Pastor Philip Nissley,

New Hope Assembly of God, Taylor, MI

As you enter 2019, many of you need miracles in finance. Money has been vanishing quicker than your bills. You are NOT alone…God wants to fulfill III John 2 in your life and the secret to your success is prayer, spiritual priorities of fasting, etc. and SOWING SEED for God’s Greater Purpose! God said in Mal. 3:10-11 to put Him to the test and by your obedience, God will rebuke the devourer for your sake!

Others this new year need a physical miracle! I challenge you to get where the anointing is flowing and let God provide full healing in your life! Matt. 8:16-17 says, Jesus healed all their sick to fulfill what was prophesied hundreds of years prior by Isaiah and Heb. 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever!”

Still others entering 2019 need a miracle in a family matter or spiritual one! Isa. 58:6 gives us the key to breakthrough as a fast “to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free”. Commit to God’s Greater Purpose and DISCOVERING YOU as you…

I. RELEASE THE INCREASE THROUGH FASTING AND PRAYER

A. We Gain God’s Favor and Increase as we Fast in Humility before God who “Gives Grace (Favor) to the Humble”–James 4:6. To live in power for miracles James 4:10 says, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up”! You think more clearly when fasting, since your heart is not pumping extra blood to your stomach to digest food and the brain functions better. A fast of mind controlling things (caffeine, sugar, meats, sweets, worldly movies, media, music, internet) to focus on Jesus…can release your spirit with salad, vegetables, fruit, water to maintain physical strength and mealtime fellowship with workers, family and friends where you can be used by God to impart joy, wisdom and spiritual things during fast days as Hebrew teenagers did in Daniel 1:12-17, 20.
