9.We need Revival when we have time for Recreation and Sports but not for Repentance and are unmoved by the need of Souls on the road to hell!
10.We need Revival when we are merely accepting the report of the world and not exercising faith and believing God for the impossible, and not seeing the supernatural power of God.
B.The Church is no stronger, no more active, no more alive than its members. We have been called out of darkness and into God’s Kingdom! As a result, God expects that having been bought with a price, that we out of appreciation will do more for what is “Essential” in life! With all of us on the edge of eternity, God and His Church are most “Essential”! We must not allow distractions, fear, and discouragement to preoccupy us with passing thrills when God offers eternal solutions!
1.We need revival because our eyes have become distracted by earthly things.
2.We need revival because we have become distracted from reaching souls and living for Jesus.
3.We need revival because our joy has been diminished, and our work has been disrupted. Jesus said to believers in Ephesus Rev. in 2:5 says, “Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.”
Dirty Hands, Defiled Hearts, and Double Minds.
1.We need Revival when we are more focused on traveling to the cottage or vacation destination than staying on the road of holiness to a home in heaven.
2.We need Revival when our Christianity is joyless, we’re bored with worship, our hearts are cold, our eyes are dry & Fire has gone out in our heart, home and marriage.
3.We need Revival when we are more concerned about our children’s school functions and games than we are the spiritual condition of their souls.
4.We need Revival when we can be at odds with others, we expect to spend eternity with but do not feel compelled to pursue reconciliation with them.
5.We need Revival when we don’t love Jesus as we once did and find ourselves making excuses for not attending Church, spending time in prayer and His Word.
6.We need Revival when church services are predictable; our response is half-hearted. We have no conviction on addictions and would rather watch questionable Movies and internet sites than read the Bible and Pray with our family.
7.We need Revival when we would rather make money than give money and must be begged to give and serve in the Church.
8.We need Revival when we seldom think thoughts of eternity and 2.5 billion
