more worried about Jesus rejecting us and not saying “well-done thou good and faithful servant!” David said in Psa. 138:7, “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You (God) will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.” With the summer almost over, we, as parents, must spiritually prepare our children and youth to return to school. Take time to help them with spiritual work even more than you help them with schoolwork. Cornelius did that here in Acts 10, and look at the results as he got his family filled up with the Holy Spirit to guard against …
B.Difficult circumstances and temptations may cause us to veer in one direction or another. You can’t be with your children 24/7, but the Holy Spirit can! The world around us may appear off course, but by pursuing Revival Fire (like Cornelius did in Acts 10:44) can get our whole house back on track. It's time to educate our children in the ways of the World’s Creator, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Beautiful Savior, Powerful Protector and Provider, Great Physician, and Prince of Peace! As we sincerely bring God the state of our family and lead them to "look to Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith…." God will lead our homes (like Cornelius in Acts 10) to Heaven Sent Revival!
III.WE NEED REVIVAL BECAUSE OUR JOY HAS DIMINISHED, AND OUR WORK
HAS BEEN DISRUPTED
A.We need revival because our work for God has been disrupted because we have
2.He was a Praying Man, Sincere in His belief. Even though influenced by a foreign culture, he sought to know about the true God for himself and his family. Because He feared God and had a heart for REVIVAL FIRE, God in Acts 10:22 “divinely directed him by a holy angel to send for Peter.” He promptly responded, knowing his spiritual life and that of his family were at stake. That, too, is how we must respond to REVIVAL!
3.He was a Religious man, but that was Not Enough. He was Sincere, but that wasNot Salvation, He was lost without REVIVAL FIRE, and that led him to send for Peter. The Bible says, “All have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). I John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness!” As a parent, Cornelius wanted his family closer to God. In response to his prayer and their faith, that “everyone who believes in Jesus receives forgiveness of sins (Acts 10:43-44) …the Holy Spirit fell”. He humbled himself and inherited heaven’s Revival blessing!
II.WE NEED REVIVAL FIRE BECAUSE
WE HAVE BECOME DISTRACTED
FROM LIVING FOR JESUS
A.Distracted Hearts tempted by other things cause us to be AOL in prayer and witness, causing people to go to hell that we should be leading to heaven! it’s sometimes tough to be a Christian, and we can be scared that people will reject us and say things about us, as parents of children and teenagers, we should be
