This study methodology will rely on literature review and a critical analysis of doctrinal and
jurisprudential options. We will analyze mainly the Portuguese Civil Code, the Convention on the
Rights of the Child and some court decisions (in particular the decision of the ‘Tribunal da Relação de
Évora’ of 25.06.2015 (Proc. nº 789/13.7TMSTB -B.E1).
