Introduction Heart Hand Mind Heart Hand Mind gives us our Collective Difference Collective Difference Through the process of developing this brand refresh, we had the opportunity to think deeply about what makes UNSW unique. Our motto has always been “Knowledge by hand and mind”, which speaks to our focus on academic excellence and real world outcomes. But through this process, it became clear that a key part was missing: the idea of heart. It’s something that’s always been tangibly true of UNSW, but never articulated. Heart Hand Mind is now the key framework for how we talk about who we are, the way we do things and our future ambitions, both internally and externally. These three things together give us our brand idea, Collective Difference.
