ARE YOU THINKING TO QUIT YOUR JOB? Even in the tough market conditions we are in, there are many valid reasons to consider leaving your current job and moving on. But it is not the act of quitting that guarantees you a better future; it is the journey of designing and pursuing a purpose driven life that can turn around how satisfied you are with your work and your life overall.! What is a Purpose Driven Life?! A Purpose Driven Life is the fine balance between what you are passionate about, your unique strengths and what is needed in the society you are part of.! A purpose driven life excites you from its core; it enables you to make a unique contribution that gets rewarded in a way for you to sustain your life and deliver more value each time.! Photo by Houston Spencer! How can you design your ! own purpose driven life?! The first step is to acknowledge your strengths. Strengths are those aspects in which you consistently perform better than others. They are the result of your natural talents and many hours of preparation and practice. In order to identify your strengths, you can look back at those experiences you felt at your best or others told you that you were at your best. Try to find the common threads and start telling yourself your life story based on those findings.! career The second step is discovering your passion, which is an exploratory journey of its own that will be really connected with your preferences to interact with world (the way you prefer to capture information, process it and make decisions upon). A practical way is to map out and identify those experiences that charge you with positive energy and encourage you to take action.! The third step is finding the connection between your passion and your strengths to offer a unique way to create value to society. It will take you 1% of your effort to identify the connection and 99% to be able to communicate it properly to others. Don’t give up.! How can you start living your ! own purpose driven life?! Living a purpose driven life is a constant pursuit of change. My favorite tool to start living that change is the Transformative Goal.! The Transformative Goal provides inspiration, guidance and eventually a sense of achievement. It is scary and it is meant to stretch you towards who you want to be. ! Transformative Goals are supported by Inciting Actions. This is something simple you can do that will significantly increase your commitment to act according to your Transformative Goal.! Act as a whole is involving those you believe will support you in this journey and make sure you stand on their shoulders while going through the transformation.
