DESIGNING YOUR OWN
PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE:
1. Acknowledge your strengths.!
2. Discover your passion. !

3. Offer a unique way to create

Are you thinking to quit you job?!
I was in a similar situation a few years ago.!
Despite being in a great organization with a great team, I knew
my professional career was not going in the right direction.!
This situation drained my energy and motivation. I knew I needed
a change but I didn’t know in which direction to move and I also
had a set of legal and migratory restrictions that made the matter
more complex. !
I set my first Transformative Goals: one year from
now I must know where I want to go and have a
secure first step defined and, on top of that, I want
to leave my current job in a high.!
I shared this decision with the people closest to me
and a few others that could help me in my journey. I
received words of encouragement and even hints
on how to move on. This was my first Inciting
Action.!

ARE YOU LIVING
A PURPOSE
DRIVEN LIFE?!
Q
The search was my third Inciting Action. I searched within my
current organization as well as outside. The challenge was
not to find open opportunities but the right opportunity. In my
case, it came along through a former colleague after catching
up during a friend’s wedding. Suddenly I found myself
immersed in a new world, meeting new people and soon
being offered the type of role I was looking for.!
career
My second Inciting Action was a deep dive into my
strengths and interests. I read books and reached
out to friends and even a career consultant. I
gathered facts and experiences from my past and
envisioned paths for my future. It was a very
exciting period full of possibilities and positive
reinforcement. The results were a concrete and
consistent way to describe my direction and my !
life story that worked as gate opener to what was
coming next: the search.!
Quitting my job was only the fourth Inciting Action. Despite
having engaged with my manager early in the process and
exploring ways to craft my job and re-design my career path,
the timeline was not on our side. I decided to make the move
that brought me closer to living a purpose driven life.!
We live every day!
It is a struggle to have a job in which you can’t bring the best
of yourself. But we are given daily opportunities to start
moving towards the direction of a Purpose Driven Life.!
Despite popular wisdom, we don’t only live once. We live
every day. Give yourself the chance to be the best you can
be, every day.!
Good luck!!
