“I am consciously trading-off comfort for learning.” So, what has the for-profit world taught me so far that is worth the discomfort? ! I would summarize it in 3 points:! 1.  Results matter, and boy, there are more tangible way to measure them than we ever believed! If you can’t measure it, it does not exist. And once you measure it, it’s a trigger for decisions, right here, right now, not in next semester’s board meeting. ! In many not for profits organizations proliferate “valid” reasons to accept results as intangible concepts, or to accept those results as something that will eventually happen because you are working hard for it.! 2.  You stop living in la la land! Fully proficient in English and German (Spanish as native language), Oriana enjoys 10 years of experience in private and public organizations in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
