Content validity

Content validity is the degree to which an assessment measures the spectrum of dimensions or the full range of concepts expected to be measured . According to Guthrie , PBDS Clinical Judgment and Interpersonal Assessments include patient problems , complications , and work place situations identified as relevant by clinical experts . PBDS measures general clinical performance expected of all RNs working in Acute Adult Care , ICUs , Obstetrics , Neonatal ICU , Mental Health , Perioperative , and Home Care , as well as performance expected for specific patient populations such as Recovery Room , Oncology , Postpartum , and Chemical Dependency .” Thus , it is clear that Assess- RX / PBDS does measure the broad range of dimensions that are expected to be found in such an evaluative tool .
