Vaccinium parvifolium

Habitat:

Grows on all categories of sites from Alaska to California, elevation sea level to 5,000 feet (Randall et al 1988).

Shrub to 4’ to 10’ tall and finely branched. Leaves evergreen, 1/2” to 1 1/2” long, oval to oblong. Dark green above, paler below. Margins are smooth. Flowers are greenish white. Fruit red to 1/4” in diameter. Twigs are green, angular or ribbed (Randall et al 1988).
