ISLAND PROPERTIES “There are many reasons for this success” Marvin Bonitz is the newest member of the senior management team at the long-established estate agents Minkner & Partner. With his international education and experience of the market on the Island, the 32-year-old is now the point of contact for new, young property developers. In DELUXE he discusses prime locations and personal relationships. Estate agents Minkner & Partner has been active in Mallorca for 23 years and is responsible for more than 10% of all property sales in the Balearics. This makes the company one of the more successful on the Island. With its head office in Santa Ponsa, the company has branches in Puerto Andratx and Llucmajor. It currently employs 30 members of staff. Minkner & Partner was founded by husband and wife Lutz und Edith Minkner, who are both still active members of the management team. Marvin Bonitz joined them on the senior management team in the middle of this year. The 32-year-old German has worked for Minkner & Partner for six years, first as a Sales Agent, then progressing to Sales Manager at the Puerto Andratx branch and for the past two years he has been Sales Director. Marvin Bonitz went to school in Marbella and as a result he speaks fluent German, Spanish and English. He lives in Portals Nous with his Mallorquin wife Clara and his son Alvaró (1). How do you account for this success? As always, there are many reasons for this success. Most important of all is the excellent economic benchmark data of the countries our clients come from, which is predominantly Germany, Austria and Switzerland. People there are doing well and they are looking for a secure capital investment on the one hand, and on the other a good return on that investment (in a bank, that return is practically zero), whether in term of appreciation of the asset or simply quality of life.
