SANTA’ S BELT BOW
Step 1 Save, print and cut out the bow template that I’ ve provided with this tutorial. It should print nicely onto an A4 page at an approx size of 144mm wide by 45mm high. However feel free to scale the template to suit your project! This template will form the basis of all our bows in this series.
Step 2 Grab your red fondant and give it a light knead until it’ s soft and smooth( always knead before using fondant to make it smooth and pliable). Lightly dust your cutting board with cornflour to help prevent your fondant from sticking and use as needed throughout the tutorial.
Step 3 Shape your fondant into a fat sausage and use your rolling pin to roll out into a rough rectangle, big enough to fit the template. Roll to about 2-3mm in thickness, ensuring that you turn the fondant every few rolls to prevent sticking and to achieve an even thickness.
