May Highlights
Nearing the end of iGCSE exams, final preparations for expedition
to Les Martinets in Switzerland and Year 10 working on Duke of
Edinburgh International Award
As the end of the school year beckons there
continues to be a plethora of challenges
and opportunities for our students. We are
nearing the end of the iGCSE examinations
and the students involved will be looking
forward to a well-earned break, before they
begin the next stage of their educational
journey. We will also be hosting a
‘Celebration Lunch’ for these students; we
will communicate more details at a later
date.
During the second week of June our Year
8 and 9 students will be participating
in the NAE Global Campus Les Martinet
expedition. Please look out for the updates
to keep abreast of the different challenges
they will face on this trip. Our NYAA (Duke
of Edinburgh International Award) Year
10 students successfully completed their
practice expedition and are busy planning
and preparing for their final Bronze Award
expedition on Pulau Ubin. We are also
planning for the launch of the Silver Award
for the next academic year.
We are looking forward to a very productive
end to the school year and thank you all, as
ever, for your incredible support.
Kind regards,
John Smith
Head of Secondary
There are many activities that occur this
term to prepare us for August. For example,
our Year 6 students will have another
transition day experience and we continue
to be busy working to ensure we are ready
for the implementation of our IB Diploma
Programme starting this August.
