DCA Upcoming Events: AGM, Family Sports Day, School Discos( Years 3- 6)
DCA annual meeting, family sports day and discos for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 all taking place in the coming weeks
The DCA is hosting a series of events in the coming weeks:
• DCA AGM: Tuesday, 13th June
• DCA Family Sports Day: Saturday, 17th June
• DCA Discos( Years 3, 4, 5 and 6): Thursday, 22nd June
About the DCA AGM( Tuesday, 13th June)
The DCA Parent Association will be holding their Annual General Meeting( AGM) in Cooper Hall on Tuesday, 13th June from 8.00pm – 9.00pm. The agenda will include:
• Report on the DCA’ s activities since the previous AGM
• Planning of events for the remainder of 2016-2017 and reviewing the planned 2017-2018 DCA events
• DCA Financial Reports
• Election of the 2017-2018 DCA committee members
We look forward to seeing parents there to help us plan for the 2017-2018 year.
About the Family Sports Day( Saturday, 17th June)
The Family Sports Day will take place at DCIS on Saturday 17th June from 3pm-7pm. Please find below some key information about this event:
Parking
As for previous events and for safety reasons parking at school will not be allowed, you can drop off at the turning circle but will then need to park off site.
Activities
On the day we are having the following activities:
• Football- email in a team or just turn up on the day- football starts at 3.15pm
• Netball- email in a team or just turn up on the day- netball starts at 3.30pm

• Gymnastics- run by The Yard- just sign up on the day, gymnastics starts at 3.00pm
• Archery- run by Simply Archer just sign up on the day- starts at 3.00pm
• Tennis- run by Sports 4 Kids- just turn up on the day
In addition to this, we will be raising funds for the HFCA Charity. There will be a charity penalty shootout, dunk tank, and sponge throw.
There will be a BBQ, charity cake stall, icecream and more! Do feel free to bring your own picnic too.
Football
All registrations to be in by Wednesday 14th June. Mr. Liperis is putting together the teams and planning the matches and it looks like it will be loads of fun. The first match will start at 3.15pm so make sure you are pitch side and ready by then. The matches will last approximately 7 minutes.
Food options
There will be many food options available; please feel free to bring your own if you would like anything different.

About the DCA Discos for Years 3 to 6( Thursday, 22nd June)
The DCA is busy organizing the end of year discos which will take place on Thursday June 22nd after school for Years 3-6. The timings of the discos are as follows:
When: Thursday June 22nd Venue: Cooper Hall Year 3 4pm-5pm Year 4 5.15pm-6.15pm Years 5 & 6 6.30pm-7.30pm
We will have a DJ, a photo booth and snacks and drinks. We are looking for parent volunteers to help with decorating the hall and supervising the disco alongside the teachers. If you are able to help then please do let us know by ticking the box on the permission slip.
We do need permission slips for the children as this is an after school event and there is also a charge of $ 5 per child. The form can be downloaded by following this link, bit. ly / DiscoPermission. Please drop your envelope into the box placed in the school office by June 16th at the very latest. Tickets will be issued on Monday 19th June.
