Creating openings for women in construction
While issues persist with increasing the number of women in the construction industry,
there are moves underway to address them. One consequence of a male-dominated
industry is the lack of suitable personal protective equipment, particularly for working at
heights. Fortunately a new program looks set to supply safety harnesses that properly fit
women working in construction, with the hope that this will be a step towards ensuring a
more diverse workforce.
