Ace Hardware offers expanded services,
departments, ‘click and pick’
“Click and pick” shopping has come to Ace Hard-
ware Store in Sauk Centre, according to Dustin Wag-
ner, assistant store manager, and it is the wave of the
future.
“You can literally shop my store on the Internet
at acehardware.com, and it will tell you, yes, we have
that on hand, or what day it will arrive, usually about
1.5 days,” Wagner said. “Customers can sit at their
kitchen table, buy what they want, then stop by and
pick it up, and be on their way. Click and pick.”
That means customers don’t have to shop Ace
Hardware during their open hours, which have also
been extended for shopping convenience.
The Sauk Centre Ace location is now open Mon-
day through Friday from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday
from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
“With the early opening, people can get the materi-
als that they need and be to their jobs on time now,”
Wagner said.
Wagner has been located in the Sauk Centre store
since March of 2018. Store manager is Ben Judkins.
Together, with a staff of 12 employees, they are here
to serve their customers.
Many of the departments have changed and have
been expanded at Ace Hardware.
The most noticeable expansion is the brand new
30-foot by 30-foot patio section on the west side of
the store. There patio furniture is set up, and custom-
ers are able to sit in it and try it out.
Ace Hardware is now offering business to business
(B2B) accounts.
“B2B customers will enjoy benefits like 10 percent
discount, 30 day billing, ability to use POs and/
or authorized user names and email billing.
You don’t even need to charge to the account.
You can simply pay on the spot and receive the
10 percent discount.”
“Anybody who has a business can come in
and talk to me. We will get them set up.”
Another new offering will be the Duracell
Key Program. This service allows Ace to copy,
reprogram or make a completely new smart
key and fobic or proximity remote for almost
all make and model vehicles with these features
equipped.
“Ace is the only one that can do it!” Wagner
said. The service does require an appointment.
“We need the vehicle as we plug computers into
it.”
Most popular feature at Ace Hardware is the
paint department with its Match Rite system.
“It’s phenomenal,” Wagner said. Any paint col-
