Barbecue Sundaes
Makes 4 servings
Prep: 10 minutes
2 cups warmed Baked Beans
2 cups Coleslaw
1 pound shredded Barbecued Pork
Barbecue Sauce
Pour ½ cup of baked beans into each jar. Next, layer on top ½ cup
coleslaw, followed by ¼ pound shredded pork. Top off with one of
two tablespoons of barbecue sauce.
Serve with dill pickle wedge, if desired.
You can substitute chicken, beef brisket or turkey if you prefer.
Chili & Cornbread in a Jar
Fill half of the jar with your favorite chili.
Top it with a scoop of boxed cornbread
batter. Heat the oven according to the
cornbread instructions. Place the jars in the
oven, baking according to directions on the
box. All you need to bring along is a little
butter, some spoons and maybe a thermos
full of something warm for an easy outdoor
lunch. This idea could be adapted with
biscuit or pie dough on top and your favorite
stew on the bottom, like an individual pot
pie.
