Pulse until fully blended. Add lemon juice and zest, season with salt and pepper to taste. To assemble: Pour pesto into the bottom of a 1-quart mason jar, add tomatoes, olives, mushrooms and chicken. Top with pasta, and remaining cheese. To make things really festive, and to add that old-fashioned touch, pack the jars of food in a picnic basket. Don't forget to include a large tablecloth to spread on the ground, napkins and plastic cutlery. Amazon.com has a large selection of affordable wicker picnic baskets for those who prefer a traditional, vintage style basket. Wayfair.com also carries a fair selection, but they tend to be a bit pricier. Want the kids (or adults!) to experience the fun of an earlier era? How about a game of Pokeno? Amazon.com offers the original set, but you can also find it at Walmart and on Ebay. 39
