Learn to Deal with Cracks in the Tennis Court
After the identification of the cause, there comes the stage of repairing.
There are many repair options, and the most common one involves using
some asphalt filler for the simple cracks. Simple and less deep cracks are
usually the result of the natural shrinking of asphalt and are easier to be
treated. Sometimes it only requires few hours to get the cracks repaired but
sometimes the court surface may require a more intense treatment or even
reconstruction.
Before starting the filling, the court is thoroughly cleaned to remove any
broken pieces and dirt. Then the cracks are filled with the most suitable
fillers, which may include acrylic fillers or even steel trowels depending on
the need and budget of the owner. After the cracks are fillers they are
sanded down to get the leveled according to its surrounding. Finally, the
cracks are all filled and are unnoticeable.
