Early Graduation
Students who have completed state and local graduation requirements may exit with an official final transcript at the end of 1 st semester their senior year . Students who complete graduation requirements early may participate in graduation exercises at the end of the school year . Students who will meet all graduation requirements and wish to exit early should submit an application for early graduation to the principal at the end of the junior year .
North Carolina Academic Scholars Program
Recognition The students who qualify for this special recognition :
• will be designated by the State Board of Education as North Carolina Academic Scholars .
• will receive a seal of recognition attached to their diplomas .
• may use this special recognition in applying to post-secondary institutions .

Two ( 2 ) electives in a second language required for the UNC system Four ( 4 ) elective credits constituting a concentration recommended from one of the following : Career & Technical Education ( CTE ), JROTC , Arts Education , Second Languages , Any other subject area

Higher level courses taken during junior and / or senior years which carry 5 or 6 quality points , such as : AP , 1B , Dual or college-equivalent course , Advanced CTE / CTE-credentialing courses , On-line courses , Other honors or above-designated courses
