President's Scholar at the University of Utah
A couple of weeks ago, I had the incredible honor of serving as a Presiding Officer at the Girl Scouts of the USA 56th National Council Session. It was a privilege to install the 2023- 2026 National Board and be a part of the 'Credentials Crew'.
In 2022, the National Board revised its bylaws, allowing girl delegates to preside at the 2023 National Council Session. Entering NCS, I did not know what to expect. But the experience turned out to be beyond imagination. Alongside Vidya Krishnan, my 'Credentials Crew' partner, we brought a lighter, more joyful air to the event. As a Gold Award Scholarship Recipient and a Lifetime Member (the best gift from Girl Scouts of Utah!), I hope I can be a role model to other girls, showcasing the incredible opportunities and impact that Girl Scouts can have on young women.
NCS highlighted the strength and camaraderie within the Girl Scout community. Thank you, Girl Scouts of the USA, for making dreams come true, for empowering girls to become leaders, and for demonstrating that girls are— and always will be—at the heart of the Movement. Being part of Girl Scouts has been transformative, and I'm grateful for the chance to contribute to this organization.
