Food Science II** This course is designed to provide students with knowledge and practical experience in the mass production of meats, dairy products, poultry products, honey and maple syrup making. In this course, students will be making food products such as sausages, steaks, ground meat products, boneless meat products, ice cream, butter, cheese, and maple syrup. Students will also experiment and create new food products that are not mass marketed in the food industry. Eating food is part of this course. This course involves field trips, processing labs of food products, contests and quality control techniques for consumers. This course is for students who are interested in a career in the food industry. This course will use scientific principles that are used in the food industry.
