ANY CHANGE TO THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOME REQUIRES BOTH NARC AND ACC APPROVAL
1. Obtain an application form from Kings Ridge Management Office (CMO) located at the
clubhouse. Submit the application form with a copy of the guideline, plat survey, the
product data with specifications, and any other pertinent information. Return your
completed application to the CMO.
2. Do not start construction of any improvement, alteration, or addition to any existing
structure or make any site improvements or changes prior to approval. After receiving
approval from the ACC, obtain and pay for all permits that may be required by
governmental authorities. Upon completion submit copies of all permits to the CMO for
filing with your Architectural Application.
3. Proposed work to provide permanent protective devices shall start within 45 days of ACC
approval and shall be completed within 180 days after approval. Time extensions may be
granted by the NARC upon written request.
4. Protective devices are permitted on homes for the purpose of protecting window and door
openings.
5. Do not install devices that would obstruct required ingress or egress.
6. Decorative shutters are not permitted except for those that were installed on the original
Colonial built homes.
7. There are two types of devices permitted:

May be constructed of plywood, metal, plastic, fabric or other suitable materials.
Shall be purpose fabricated for use intended, sized to fit within or over the protected
opening.
Plywood and/or unfinished ferrous metal panels shall be painted to match the house
body color. Galvalume or galvanized steel is not considered unfinished ferrous metal.
Head, sill, and side jamb metal “tracks” shall be pre-finished with manufacturer’s
standard white or off-white colors. Other light pastel colors such as beige or tan may
be considered acceptable by the ACC.
Panels and accessories shall be stored off site or within the home when not in use.
