GARAGE DOOR 1.6
ANY CHANGE TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOME REQUIRES BOTH NARC AND ACC APPROVAL
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS REQUIRED FOR THE APPROVAL OF SCREENED GARAGE
DOOR OPENING, GARAGE DOOR WINDOWS, AND GARAGE DOOR REPLACEMENT.
1. Obtain the following information from the vendor/manufacturer
a. Provide a copy of the vendor contract, brochure and/or photos of the product, including
the exact color, material, and specifications. If choosing a garage door with a window
see page 3 for Kings Ridge approved selections. Write the number of the design on your
application of the one that you are requesting to be installed.
b. Obtain an application form from Kings Ridge Management Office (CMO) located at the
clubhouse.
c. Submit the completed Kings Ridge ACC Application for Approval with a copy of all the
vendor/manufacturer product information indicated in 1 a. above.
d. Return the completed application with a copy of the guideline and all other required
attachments to the Community Management Office for approval of both the NARC and
the ACC.
e. Failure to provide the required information listed in # 1a above will result in your
application being returned or denied for insufficient information.
2. Do not start construction of any improvement, alteration, or addition to any existing
structure or make any site improvements or changes prior to approval. After approval
by the ACC, proposed work shall start within 45 days and shall be completed within
180 days of commencement. Time extensions may be granted by the NARC upon
written request.
3. SCREENED GARAGE DOOR OPENING: Screen shall be retractable into the garage or
overhead coiling (roll-up) type concealed by a hood protector mounted to the garage head
jamb, installed between side jambs of the garage door.
a. Framing and screen color shall be off-white. Other light colors may be acceptable if
they match the existing house color scheme and are approved by the NARC and
ACC. Screen material to be of a density so that the contents of the garage are not
visible from the outside.
b. Position screen either fully up or fully down at all times.
