July Incidents Cont’d Page 9 07/05/17 Derby, CT 117 Dirienzio Hgts dwelling fire Katie Matto 07/05/17 San Antonio, TX Iowa and Olive dwelling fire—Engine Co. 3 laid out on a wood framed dwelling that was heavily involved on the alpha side this afternoon. Engine 3 tagged their own hydrant and pulled a preconnect while Ladder 9 did a search. Crews were able to get a quick knock on the fire. Companies on the ticket were EN03, EN01, EN04, TK09, M09, MSOU01, MOF4, MAC26 and BC06. Zack Newton 07/08/17 San Antonio, TX 100 blk 9th St.—Just as the night life was starting to kick of, and hotel guest were getting ready for bed, an Automatic Fire Alarm was sounded at the Wyndham Hotel in the 100blk of 9th St. Engine 4 arrived on scene and was greeted by the hotel manager saying the 3rd floor was full of smoke. Engine 4 quickly upgraded the AFA to a work- ing high rise fire. Engine 4 made their way up to the "fire floor" and upon investigation, found a discharged dry-chem fire extinguisher, but could not locate any fire. Eventually it was determined that there was no fire and just a discharged fire extinguisher. Crews were quickly placed back in service and available. Compa- nies on the high rise ticket were EN04, EN01, EN03, EN06, EN11, PL01, PL11, TK06, HR11, M06, BC06, & the Fire Shift Commander. Zack Newton
