NC State Welcomes Xiamen University( Feb. 19-21)
Xiamen University and NC State are partner universities and to help celebrate the Chinese New Year, Xiamen University Student Art Group entertained NC with a special New Year show. Xiamen brought a delegation of 26 to NC. The show at NC State had over 200 attend, the show at our Confucius Classroom at CCCC had over 400 attend and we had a calligraphy and music lecture at Durham Academy with 100 students. The show was widely received and received a lot of media attention.

到节目之中, 升华到文化无国界, 艺术无界限, 欢 乐共分享的新层面 。 晚会将由中美学生用双语主 持, 由群舞《春节序曲》开场, 体现中国民间舞蹈 的风韵, 书法与舞蹈结合表现福建闽南地方春节风 俗多种中国传统文化形式多重结合的创新表演( 从 书法 、 画 、 乐 、 舞 、 武选取搭配结合)、 民乐独奏 重奏 、 民歌演唱 、 戏曲联唱 、 外国当地民歌演绎 、 中西方艺术文化方式相结合等节目 。
学院总部的安排和北卡孔子学院的精心准备下, 厦门大学 学生艺术团来到北卡州大孔子学院和下设的中卡社区大学 孔子课堂, 以及当地一所中学进行了精彩的巡演和巡讲, 受众近千人 。 巡演节目以“ 欢庆春节” 为主题, 从欢庆传 统春节开始, 突出“ 欢乐春节” 的主题; 以“ 吉祥中国” 将整 个晚会推向高超, 带给观众来自东方的澎湃热情; 放 眼“ 和谐世界”, 通过与观众的多次互动, 将美国文化融入
Visit from Chinese Overseas Council( Feb. 17)
On Feb. 17, we welcomed the Chinese Overseas Council to NC State. We were able to share about our programs to over 20 officials from the Council, media and Chinese Embassy. We shared about our growing programs and our continued growth.

2 月 17 日, 国务院侨办副主任马儒霈一行访问了 北卡州大孔子学院, 北卡州大副校长兼孔院院 长李百炼教授和中方院长王晓英教授向来访者 介绍了北卡州大孔子学院的各种工作和发展情 况, 得到马儒霈主任等同行人员的高度肯定, 他们还对孔子学院的发展提供了很好的建议 。
