NC State Welcomes the Year of the Rabbit
Each year the CI supports and organizes Chinese New Year Events on campus to help bring Chinese culture to the campus and community. To welcome the year of the rabbit, the CI took part in the Chinese Student and Scholar’ s Friendship Association( CSSFA), Duke University ' s Festival of Spring show, TACAS and CAFA( local Chinese organizations) Chinese New Year shows. At these events, the CI was able to make more of the community aware of the CI’ s services and Chinese culture. Our CI also had our own Chinese New Year Party with our Chinese learners and enjoyed singing some Chinese songs and trying some traditional Chinese New Year snacks.

Chinese New Year Celebration( Feb. 8)
Chinese New Year is a special time of year to bring together people on campus and in the community to learn about Chinese culture and to take time to fellowship together. This year the CI hosted a large New Year Celebration to help professors, community leaders, business leaders, those already engaged in business with China and those interested in China to com and learn about the CI, our services and to work on promoting Chinese language and culture throughout NC. We had over 100 people attend the celebration, with great Chinese food and a time to net-work together and plan for the future.
