SUPPORT FOR ORGANISERS

Recognising the cost and logistical complexities of major event organisations – and cognisant of the potential rewards – the SECB offers a number of incentives schemes .

Through the Business Events in Singapore ( BEiS ) scheme , SECB offers customised support for organisers , such as help in securing venues , introductions with leading government agencies and business partners , marketing and publicity support , as well as assistance in hosting impactful sustainable events . Eligible companies may also receive funding support based on the scope and merits of the project .
Making connections Singapore has an enviable reputation as a location for start-ups and as a home for entrepreneurs , and the SECB has a track-record of making connections , as well as enabling conference organisers to tap in to the many special interest groups that make up the country ’ s thriving economy .

In terms of eligibility and criteria : businesses / companies / associations in the MICE sector may apply for the scheme . Events will be considered based on several factors including its content , brand and delegate profile ( foreign visitorship ). Eligible companies will receive funding support that amounts to a certain percentage of qualifying costs .
Incentives and rewards The Singapore MICE Advantage Programme ( SMAP ) is aimed at events that could be the catalyst for new possibilities . The package includes substantial travel benefits , free access to some attractions and sustainability-focused initiatives .
For smaller ( 20-250 delegate ) groups , SECB offers the In Singapore Incentives & Rewards ( INSPIRE ) programme , with a menu of 80 complimentary experiences from which to choose . These include dining experiences , visitor attractions , team-building and retail experiences to complement the itineraries of MICE groups coming to Singapore .
Examples include a private reception in the tranquil setting of lush greenery of the Ginger Garden or a private booking of the Supertree Observatory which offers unobstructed views of the Singapore Botanic Gardens .
