A n integral part of the Singapore Tourism Board , SECB has over 40 years of experience in helping event professionals , meeting planners and incentive organisers from around the world execute successful events across the country around the year . The team are responsible for championing the city state ’ s reputation as a dynamic business events destination , and act as marketing specialists to help clients successfully promote their events . SECB also helps associations bid for renowned international events , and works hand in hand with organisers in boosting delegate numbers and enhancing the delegate experience .
SCEB also maintains comprehensive resources for planners , including detailed venue specs , and a vast library of images , as well as extensive resources to share with partners and visitors .
SECB can facilitate connections with other government agencies , provide strategic introductions within industry and commerce , connect organisers with universities and knowledge hubs , as well as deliver access to a comprehensive network of local event partners . Recognising that great events are catalysts for growth and can leave a vital legacy , SECB provides grants and incentives for event proposals that meet its criteria .
Recent successes include Singapore winning the provisional bid to host the Rotary International Convention in 2024 , which is set to be the largest association congress ever hosted by the Republic . More than 25,000 Rotary members from around the world are expected to converge in Singapore to connect , engage and share insights on how to create positive , lasting change in their communities . The annual Rotary convention , held in different cities around the world , was last held in Singapore in 1999 and was attended by approximately 19,000 participants .
With Donald Trump ’ s controversial meeting in 2018 with North Korean Leader Kim Jong-Un , which took place in the luxury Capella Resort on Sentosa Island , the skills of the city were on view for the world . The event had been announced on 10 May , cancelled two weeks later before being reinstated a week later , giving organisers a mere 11 days to make all the necessary arrangements .
They did , and the world watched as an historic meeting took place , with every facet delivered seamlessly .
Once again , Singapore delivered .
