WHAT ’ S NEW IN SINGAPORE

Whilst the country ’ s history dates back at least a millennium , Singapore is a city investing in the future ; as a result even the most frequent visitor will find something new to see and sample .

New hotel openings New hotels continue to appear . One of the latest on the scene is The Clan . Completed in late 2020 the 30 storey building has 324 spacious rooms , and is ideal for the discerning business traveller with its central business district location .
The new Park Royal Marina Bay offers panoramic views of the Singapore city skyline from its 583 rooms and is the country ’ s first ‘ Garden-in-a-Hotel ’. It houses one of Southeast Asia ’ s largest indoor sky-lit atriums , containing over
2,400 plants and trees . There ’ s also a rooftop urban farm whose crop output forms the backbone of the hotel ’ s farm-to-table , farm-to-bar and farm-to-spa concepts .
More evidence that the business travel market is bouncing back can be seen with the dozen new hotel properties soon to open , including the Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa , offering 62 villas each with a private pool , a new Edition property with 190 rooms , and a stunning Pan Pacific Orchard centred in the heart of the city .
The new SkyHelix on Sentosa is the highest open-air panoramic ride on the island . Visitors sit in an open-air gondola that gently rotates as it ascends to 79 metres above sea level . The experience offers breathtaking 360-degree views stretching from Sentosa to the
Keppel Bay area and the Southern Islands , and is best enjoyed with feet dangling , drink in hand .
Surf , ski , skate Meanwhile , 2023 will also see the arrival of Trifecta , Asia ’ s first snow , surf , and skate attraction . Visitors will be able to accomplish the hallowed trifecta – hence the name – of snowboarding , surfing and skating in one day and all under one roof in the heart of the city .
Trifecta bristles with technology . The ‘ slopes ’ in the snow arena are powered by the first virtual reality ( VR ) ski simulator in Asia , with best-in-class speed simulation and directional movements to mimic the uneven terrain of a natural mountain .
The surf arena will incorporate water columns of 1.5 metres . The
skate arena will be home to the world ’ s first hybrid skate bowl designed for skateboarding and surf-skating .
Integrated resorts expand Resorts World Sentosa is also expanding with a mix of all-new attractions , entertainment and lifestyle offerings to the destination resort . In addition , RWS will refurbish three of its hotels , namely Hard Rock Hotel Singapore , Hotel Michael and Festive Hotel which collectively offer over 1,200 rooms .
Meanwhile the Iconic Marina Bay Sands will be building a fourth tower in the form of a stand-alone suite-only hotel , with matching sky pool .
No matter how many times you visit Singapore , there will always be something new to see .
