CAPTAINS
SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY
We hire and train for skill, judgment, and operational discipline. American Cruise Lines is the only U. S. passenger vessel line that offers training at our own state-of-the-art bridge simulator. Classroom and simulator training is conducted annually using real world scenarios for all deck officers. The goal of each program is to promote consistency and safety on our ships.
The Captain is the senior officer aboard the ship. Captains are responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel and must uphold all company standards. This is a dynamic position that requires professionalism, experience, and leadership. This position is ideal for experienced / retired Naval or Coast Guard officers with command experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the safety of the guests, crew, and vessel.
Perform all docking, undocking, maneuvering, and navigation of vessel.
Supervise, train, and direct Mates and Deckhands.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS

U. S. Coast Guard Master’ s License: Minimum 100T, desired 1600T or greater.
