ATTIRE
Children will need to have tennis and / or rubber-soled shoes for gym and outdoor play daily . Be sure your children have the proper seasonal attire .
SUNSCREEN
During the summer program , Adventures Plus will provide sunscreen . Families may also provide their own sunscreen and staff will store it on site .
INSECT REPELLANT
A parent / guardian may supply insect repellant to be used at Adventures Plus . Written permission is required .
HAND SANITIZER
Adventures Plus may use hand sanitizer when access to soap and water is not available . ( Example : At certain field trip locations .) Written permission is required for each child .
OUTDOOR PLAY
Adventures Plus engages in outdoor play on a regular basis . Each site will schedule outdoor play regularly unless the weather conditions are poor ( raining , severe weather or temperatures / wind chill below 0 ° F ).
MEALS
A breakfast will be served each morning and a snack in the afternoon . Breakfast and snack are provided each day as part of your fees . See your school breakfast menu for details .
Treats for birthdays or other special occasions must be commercially prepared . Parents / guardians are encouraged to provide nutritious treats . Please inform staff if you would like to bring treats for your child ’ s birthday .
COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAM PARTICIPATION
If your child will be attending Community Education programs during the school year , you must give a written schedule of classes to be attended to the Adventures Plus staff . Please indicate the times the classes will start and end each day . Your child will not be released from Adventures Plus without written notification . Your child will be responsible to walk to and from Community Education classes or summer school without supervision from the Adventures Plus staff within the same facility .
NON-SCHOOL DAYS ( NSD )
Sites combine on NSDs to provide families with all-day care options , and assist the district in the conservation of energy and custodial expense . Your child ’ s home site may not be open . You will be required to drop-off and pick-up your child at the NSD site in which you enrolled . Please note that locations may be added or changed due to enrollment levels or building maintenance . You will be informed in advance of changes .
NSDs are not included in regular contract schedules and must be registered for separately through your online account . The month prior to scheduled NSD , information will be emailed to families , indicating which sites will be open for care and listing planned activities . NSD calendars will be posted . All children must bring their own lunch and beverage daily unless noted by site . Breakfast and afternoon snack is included .
Deadline for priority pricing and placement is by the 15th of month prior . Requests are approved on 16th of the month prior .
Once a NSD request is approved - they can not be removed and will be billed regardless of attendance .
