Our chess team focuses on developing competitor’s chess skills, knowledge, analytical abilities and intellectual strength through lessons, puzzles and perfect practice. Advanced students will study Queen Sacrifices, Back Rank Mates and advanced theory. Create structures, buildings, tunnels, stairs, and outdoor terrains such as mountains and lakes. Explore scripting and use your imagination to create a unique 3-D game environment that you can download at home. This year, you’ll embark on an exploration of the earth’s climate in the Climate Connections Challenge. Compete against the other Anoka-Hennepin School District teams on Saturday, April 18.
