Explore the exciting world of digital animation and photography.
As cinematographers/photographers, you’ll work in teams to create stories and
unique projects using our special computer graphic and editing software. Make
a stop-motion animation movie from beginning to end: storyboarding, creating
backgrounds, making props, filming the movie, downloading it to a computer and
adding special effects and transitions. This unique class will spark your imagination
and then give you the tools to bring your ideas to life! A signed student
photography release form is required to participate.

Are you interested in drawing, but don’t know where to start? Your work with pencils
and pens will come to life as you tackle the challenges of line, value, form, space and
texture in composition. Emphasis will be placed on drawing still life, landscape and

ARTISTIC MOMENTS: CAKE DECORATING WARS
Have you ever decorated a cake? Do you like competitions? If so, you’ll definitely
want to attend this class! Team up with a friend or two and let the fun begin.
Your team will brainstorm designs and then create a masterpiece by strategically
decorating your cake using colorful bags of icing and a variety of decorating tips.
Cakes will be judged on creativity, appearance, neatness, use of color and difficulty
of technique. Awards will be given! Register individually; you’ll choose your teams
at class.

MINECRAFTING IN REAL LIFE
Minecraft is a game phenomenon focused on creating environments out of textured
cubes in a virtual 3-D world. Working in small groups you’ll build Minecraft-inspired
Lego worlds using customized Legos® and film a stop motion movie using Minecraftinspired Lego creations. Take home two Lego Microfigs and an animated movie to
show off your new world to friends and family.
