AGE-SPECIFIC CLASSES

Every Child Outdoors
( Ages 2 to 7 years ) Today ’ s children are increasingly disconnected from the natural world . Through science-based exploration and outdoor play , experience the outdoors . Each class will include an opportunity to explore our outdoor learning stations and play with water , sand , dirt and more . This is a great way to get outside with your children , foster curiosity and explore the natural world . Weather permitting , this class will be outdoors for the entire class time every week . Separating class - parents / caregivers spend half of the class time together with their child and half in parenting education .

NEW ! Class Under Glass PLUS !
( Ages 2 to 7 years ) Spending time outdoors builds confidence , promotes creativity , provides different stimulation , gets children moving , and reduces stress and fatigue in both children and adults . Parents and children will learn about the outdoors and nature in and out of our greenhouse through artwork , sensory and physical experiences , and in the garden planting , watering , and weeding . The class will be spent outdoors for the entire class time , weather permitting ! Parent discussion topics will be guided by a parenting educator and participants . Separating class - parents / caregivers spend half of the class time together with their child and half in parenting education .

Parents , Kids & Preschool
( 3 years up to kindergarten ) This preschool class meets two days a week . The first day , parents and children attend together . The second day is for children only . Parent attendance is expected for the child to participate in the child-only day . Activities are aligned with Anoka-Hennepin Schools kindergarten curriculum to enhance the development of social skills , math , literacy , music and science . Parenting topics include getting ready for kindergarten , setting limits , bedtime and more . Separating class on parent / child day - parents / caregivers spend half of the class time together with their child and half in parenting education .
